Psy International/Healthy Mind works has contracts with most health insurance companies. This means full reimbursement of your treatment. However, your deductible is always addressed and settled by your health insurance company.
Also in 2023, there are budget caps set by health insurers. This may lead to waiting lists in our practice. You can seek care mediation from your health insurance company if necessary.
If there is no contract with your health insurer, you are also entitled to reimbursement of part of the treatment. This so-called reimbursement option is laid down by law. This is because our treatment always falls under the provision of medical psychological services by a BIG registered healthcare provider. In a number of situations, you will be required to make a personal contribution.
Reimbursement by your health insurance company depends on the DSM V classification and whether or not this diagnosis is included in the basic health insurance package. For example, treatment of adjustment problems, relationship problems, and sexological problems are not included in the basic health insurance package. Sometimes reimbursement is possible from your supplementary insurance. Check with your health insurance company.
If you want to be sure of full reimbursement and maximum freedom of choice of care provider, choose a restitution policy. Please be aware of your “eigen risico”, the insurance will first charge you the “eigen risico” and then they will reimburse you.
Rates for non-insured care
- An individual session lasts for 60 minutes and costs €150,-
- Relationship counseling or other sessions for two people lasts 1,5 hour and costs €200,-
- In most cases, treatment requires 5 to 12 sessions depending on the specific problems.
There are other authorities that could help you with therapy refunds. These include the UWV (Dutch Employee Insurance Agency) and the Centre for Health Care Needs Assessment. Many employers have special regulations for this purpose and students may be eligible through grants or through a Personal Budget provided by the government.
Option 1: Check your CAO
There is a chance that a coach budget is included in your CAO. This amount is set aside each year for you by your employer and can be spent freely, after consultation with your employer. The most common amount is 500, – a year. You can find your CAO online or request from your HR manager.
Option 2: Discuss the possibilities with your HR manager
HR often has a training or special budget which could be used for coaching/counseling. Coaching compared with other forms of personal development is very cheap and effective for businesses and is therefore very often compensated and even encouraged by HR managers!
Option 3: Discuss the possibilities with your manager or director
If HR does not have a budget for personal development, maybe your manager or director could help you. In this case, you can safely first have a free orientation meeting with one of our coaches about your plans so that the coach can help you with a plan and a proposal that you can discuss with your manager or supervisor.
Option 4: Tax relief for entrepreneurs
Costs for coaching for self-employed are tax-deductible as operating expenses. Would you like advice on how you can do this best? Contact us.
Option 5: If you receive a UWV benefit
The benefits agency (UWV) provides funding for rehabilitation and integration processes. If you receive benefits you can contact the UWV and ask them about using a reintegration coach. Click here for more information.
